On April 10, 2025, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 22, deceptively named the “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act,” under the pretense of protecting our elections from noncitizen interference. This is the House’s second attempt to enact this bill; it passed identical legislation in July of last year. On the surface, this bill — proposed by Representative Chip Roy (R-Texas) — might seem like a rational response to voter fraud. But when examined through the lens of history, the Constitution, and common sense, the SAVE Act is exposed as a cunning Trojan horse designed not to preserve liberty, but to throttle it.
This legislation is not merely misguided; it is malevolent. It is a mask worn by the machinery of globalist consolidation, a legislative cancer metastasizing under the guise of electoral reform. The bill’s requirement for documentary proof of citizenship — via amending the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (aka Motor Voter) — might appear harmless or even prudent, but history teaches us that tyrants rarely announce their intentions — they disguise them in “necessary measures” and “national security.” As Patrick Henry warned, “Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel.”
The SAVE Act is such an approach.
