Some commentators have long pointed out that what’s euphemistically called “American immigration policy” is actually a massive voter-importation racket. If our (im)migrants voted Republican by the margins they do Democrats — 70 to 90 percent — these observers aver, our southern border would be impenetrable down to the molecular level. Now these critics have what they might call Exhibit A for their thesis:
The open-borders Biden administration announced on Tuesday, in so many words, that Cuban and Haitian refugees need not apply.
At the same time, there’s a shocking report that the administration has been using the military to secretly fly border-jumping illegal aliens into America’s interior.
Fox News tells us about the Cuban-Haitian story:
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said on Tuesday that those fleeing Cuba or Haiti by sea would not be allowed into the U.S. — and would either be returned or, if they were found to have a fear of persecution, referred to a third country.
“The time is never right to attempt migration by sea,” Mayorkas said at a press conference. “To those who risk their lives doing so, this risk is not worth taking.”
“Allow me to be clear. If you take to the sea, you will not come to the United States,” he said.
“The ostensible reason behind this announcement is to protect people from braving the Florida Straits, writes commentator Andrea Widburg. “It’s for their own good that the Biden administration is leaving them in countries that are collapsing and in which deadly political witch hunts can soon be expected.”
Yet this doesn’t pass the smell test, Widburg then states, because the feds have been mum on the migrants dying while crossing the southern border, a problem that has intensified along with summer temperatures. She then points out that even the mainstream media acknowledge this danger, and then quotes PBS:
The bodies of an unusually large number of migrants who died in Arizona’s borderlands are being recovered this summer amid record temperatures in the sun-scorched desert and rugged mountains.
An increase in migrant deaths also has been noted in Texas, and rescues are up throughout the border with Mexico.
The nonprofit group Humane Borders, which maps the recoveries of bodies in Arizona using data from the Pima County Medical Examiner’s Office in Tucson, said 43 sets of human remains were found in the state’s border region last month — the hottest June on record for Phoenix. Forecasters say highs in Phoenix, where temperatures last month regularly soared above 110 degrees Fahrenheit (43 Celsius), tend to be similar to those in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert north of Mexico.
“That report doesn’t take into account the people who drown crossing the Rio Grande, the children tossed over walls, the women and children sexually trafficked, or the risks all Americans run from drugs and cartels, and terrorists crossing the border,” Widburg then adds.
So what actually motivates the Bidenites? Widburg renders a common-sense analysis:
First-generation Cubans, especially, tend to vote Republican upon naturalization. They loathe socialism, and don’t generally fall prey to attempts to market it under different guises.
Furthermore, Widburg points out that upon entering our Hispanic communities, such Spanish speakers could relate their values to other Latinos; with surveys showing that increased numbers of Hispanics abandoned the Democrats in 2020 already, this is a risk party Machiavellians perhaps won’t tolerate.
As for the Haitians, Widburg theorizes that since Caribbean and African immigrants tend to prosper in the United States, their growing presence would increasingly put the lie to Democrats’ identity-politics narrative that blacks can’t succeed in America due to “systemic racism.”
A bit of perspective, however: The likely reason why Caribbean and African — and Indian, for that matter — immigrants do so well in America is that since their native countries don’t share a border with us, their poor and illiterate can’t easily migrate here (it may require a visa and the means to purchase a plane ticket). So from such countries we tend to get the crème de la crème.
This may not describe refugees fleeing across the Florida Straits in rickety boats, however. And it does appear that Haitian-descent Americans lean Democrat.
So a perhaps more likely explanation for the Haitians’ exclusion is that they’re collateral damage: You can’t admit one group of sea-migrating refugees but not another group of sea-migrating refugees if your pretext for exclusion is that ocean-migration is dangerous.
If you’re concerned that we’re going to be denied Strengthening Diversity™, however, let not your heart be troubled. It was just reported last night (video below) that massive numbers of southern-border-crossing illegals, instead of being deported, are being illegally flown into the American heartland by the U.S. military.
This is the same military leadership, mind you, that under the Trump administration balked at the prospect of securing the border because that was, well, just too political. Of course, the current illegal-alien-spreading endeavor is so un-political, apparently, that the Pentagon tried to keep it secret, even warning serviceman not to talk about the operation.
In fact, the policy is so egregious that former White House advisor Stephen Miller has called the presidential embrace of it an “impeachable offense” (video below).
Of course, though, a lawless president won’t be impeached if Congress isn’t occupied by right-minded and law-oriented representatives, and this won’t happen if you import enough socialism-minded and situational-values-oriented “new voters.” And that’s the whole idea.
The seas may be dangerous, but the real blue wave is washing across the southern border.
