A teacher in Tacoma, Washington, distributed a Planned Parenthood (PP) promotional flyer covering abortion, birth control, consent laws, condoms, and more to eighth graders. What the school might not have planned for was the fact that the students took the flyers home to their parents.

Jason Rantz, host of the Jason Rantz Showreported Wednesday that students in a science class at Stewart Middle School received the flyer, which addressed various topics about sex. The flyer, which was posted on social media by a concerned parent, was confirmed by the school to be authentic.

The PP advertises:

“It is not a crime if you are…

11 and have sex with somebody 2 years older or less.

12 to 13 and have sex with somebody who is 3 years older or less.

14 or 15 ad have sex with somebody who is 4 years older or less.

… If you are 14 years and older, you do not need permission from your parent or guardian to get treated for STDs or HIV.

The flyer notes regarding abortion, “ABORTION — You do not need to get permission from your parent or guardian AT ANY AGE.”

You can buy Plan B Emergency Contraception [aka the “morning-after pill”] at a local pharmacy without a prescription at any age,” it highlighted. “You can buy condoms at any age.

Eric Hogan, the district’s assistant director of secondary education, reportedly apologized to a parent in an e-mail, claiming the distribution of the flyer was a mistake.

“The flyer is not part of our curriculum and should not have been sent home with students,” he wrote in the e-mail obtained by the Jason Rantz Show.

Hogan provided the following explanation:

Previously, Planned Parenthood taught within our schools and supplied the flyer that was distributed to students. We discovered a binder of curriculum materials was left behind for an incoming teacher to use for this year, and this flyer was in the binder. Not realizing the flyer wasn’t approved material, the teacher sent it home with students.

Hogan added that Planned Parenthood was no longer giving presentations within Tacoma schools. The director apologized and noted that the unapproved curriculum had been removed and faculty had been instructed on what was included in approved material.

Live Action website has noticed the flyer failed to point out that the consent laws in Washington merely mean the state “will not prosecute,” and that “age is just one of many factors involved in consent.” Certainly, emotional and psychological development should be considered as other factors when it comes to consent, which in the case of 11-year-olds raises many red flags.

Live Action noted the obvious — that the preteen stage is a time when children are experiencing a lot of hormonal changes, and begin to not only desperately seek independence from their family, but begin to strongly rely on their peer groups instead. This, while perfectly normal, can easily cause pressure and coercion to have sex, with a child feeling that they must have sex in order to be accepted. “Adding Planned Parenthood’s propaganda doesn’t help,” writes the outlet.

But Planned Parenthood’s brand of sex education has been known to go far beyond even what this flyer promotes, as Live Action’s “SexEd” investigation revealed. Planned Parenthood employees were found promoting pornography, BDSM, whips, handcuffs, and other violent sexual behaviors and torture devices to teens, encouraging them to experiment and “Google whatever is in your head.”

How does this type of content get into the public schools? Celebrate Life magazine observes that anti-abstinence, “sex-positive” entities with a broad national reach such as Planned Parenthood, the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States, Advocates for Youth, Answer, ETR, and the Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy are instrumental in laying the groundwork to facilitate implementation of what the Planned Parenthood network refers to as “comprehensive sex education.” Also, Planned Parenthood maintains a presence on college campuses through its Vox (Voices for Choice) clubs and programs.

In the last election cycle, Washington voters approved Referendum 90, a graphic state-wide, sex-ed curriculum created and endorsed by Planned Parenthood and radical activist organizations.

According to Ballotpedia, the legislation was designed to require public schools to provide “comprehensive sexual health education” to students in grades 6-12 beginning in the 2021-22 school year and for all public-school students, including those in grades K-5, beginning in the 2022-23 school year.

Under the bill, the curriculum has to include instruction and information regarding affirmative consent and bystander training. Instruction needs to be provided at least once to students in grades K-3, once to students in grades 4-5, twice to students in grades 6-8, and twice to students in grades 9-12.

Parental organization Informed Parents of Washington objected to the early sexualization of children in the curriculum, as well as the graphic material contained in the curriculum, and warned of the possibility of grooming young children for early sexual experiences. The dangers of early sexual initiation have long been studied and may be summarized as “the sooner, the worse.”
