U.S. Hits Iranian Proxies; Israel Vows to Win War Against “Sheer Evil”

The United States carried out a new round of airstrikes against Iranian proxies in Syria over the weekend, killing an unknown number of militants. Meanwhile, Israel intensified its ground campaign as troops closed in on Gaza City’s Al-Shifa Hospital, despite international calls for a cease-fire and accusations that Israel attacked the hospital. Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said anyone who supports Hamas supports “sheer evil.”

Also, British journalist and author Douglas Murray makes the case that Hamas terrorists are crueler and more inhumane than the Nazis were; Congress is staring down another government shutdown this week; and the new speaker of the House has come up with answers that have already made at least one so-called hardliner unhappy.
