In short, Father Altman says that “liberal” and “Catholic” are mutually exclusive. He points out that the last ten popes before Francis condemned all forms of Marxism as grave sin and said that one could not follow both Marx and Christ. He says that since the Democrat Party supports such grave sins as abortion and homosexuality, one cannot be both a faithful Catholic and a Democrat.
