Trump Vows to End Neocon Establishment; Deep State Strikes Back

If there’s one thing the military-industrial complex can’t tolerate, it’s the prospect of peace. Nor can it afford to tolerate anyone who calls for peace.

Donald Trump on Thursday released a video in which he advocated ending the “entire globalist neocon establishment,” saying there should be “peace without delay” in Ukraine.

In his video remarks, Trump bashed Joe Biden for allegedly bringing America “closer to World War III.”

“A global conflict between nuclear-armed powers would mean death and destruction on a scale unmatched in human history. It would be nuclear Armageddon. Nothing is more important than avoiding that nightmare. We will avoid it. But we need new leadership,” the 45th president said.

“Every day this proxy battle in Ukraine continues, we risk global war. We must be absolutely clear that our objective is to immediately have a total cessation of hostilities. All shooting has to stop. This is the central issue. We need peace without delay,” Trump remarked in reference to the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Arguing for the need to “put America First,” Trump slammed “The State Department, the defense bureaucracy, the intelligence services,” and the “Deep Staters,” making the case that these forces, which he collectively referred to as the “globalist neocon establishment,” are responsible for “perpetually dragging us into endless wars, pretending to fight for freedom and democracy abroad, while they turn us into a third-world country and a third-world dictatorship right here at home.”

It was certainly some of the harshest language Trump has used to describe D.C.’s foreign policy establishment. He even took on NATO, which he said he believes should be reevaluated as far as its mission and purpose.

For Trump, the greatest threat to the West isn’t Russia, as the mainstream media so often contends. Rather, he asserted:

It’s probably, more than anything else, ourselves and some of the horrible, U.S.A.-hating people that represent us. It’s the abolition of our national borders. It’s the failure to police our own cities. It’s the destruction of the rule of law from within. It’s the collapse of the nuclear family and fertility rates, like nobody can believe is happening. It’s the Marxists who would have us become a Godless nation worshiping at the altar of race, and gender, and environment. And it’s the globalist class that has made us totally dependent on China and other foreign countries that basically hate us.

With that rhetoric, the 2024 presidential nominee struck many chords that resonate with today’s Republican base, which has grown weary of foreign interventionism and nation-building projects that come with high costs in human life and taxpayer dollars.

In an instance of uncanny timing, not long after Trump published this emphatic message, news broke that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office is preparing to indict Trump and that The Donald will be arrested in coming days.

On Saturday morning, Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, penning a vehement post in which he seemed to confirm that he will be arrested soon, claiming he will be taken into custody on Tuesday.

Writing in all caps, Trump blasted:

NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!

The pending indictment and arrest are related to Trump’s alleged payment of “hush money” to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet on a sexual tryst they allegedly had years prior to Trump’s political career.

Trump’s lawyer has said that his client is prepared to turn himself in to face charges if he must.

“Will follow normal procedures if it gets to that point,” Trump attorney Joseph Tacopina told CNBC when asked what Trump would do if it gets to the point of indictment and arrest.

The question is whether surrendering Trump to New York’s justice system is inevitable. Trump is a resident of Florida and, thus, would have to be extradited to New York.

Would DeSantis sign off on extradition? Article IV, Section 2, Clause 2 of the Constitution states that “A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, and be found in another State, shall on Demand of the executive Authority of the State from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the State having Jurisdiction of the Crime.”

However, Trump did not flee from New York. He is not a resident of New York, but of Florida.

Moreover, the Florida Constitution empowers the governor, in this case Republican Ron DeSantis, to investigate an extradition request from another state to determine “whether the person ought to be surrendered.”

Despite the recent rivalry between Trump and DeSantis, it’s likely the Florida governor will do all he can to shield the 45th president, knowing it would spell political suicide for him among the Republican base to be seen as throwing Trump under the bus.

One thing is certain: The Deep State never acts as swiftly and mercilessly as when it believes someone poses a real threat to the military-industrial complex.
