Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick (R) is upping the ante to strengthen the Trump team’s case that voter fraud may have played a decisive role in swinging the presidential election in Joe Biden’s favor.
Patrick announced on Tuesday that he is offering a reward of $1 million for information leading to an arrest and conviction for voter fraud in this election.
“I support President Trump’s efforts to identify voter fraud in the presidential election and his commitment to making sure that every legal vote is counted and every illegal vote is disqualified,” Patrick said in a press release. He continued: “President Trump’s pursuit of voter fraud is not only essential to determine the outcome of this election, it is essential to maintain our democracy and restore faith in future elections.”
The lieutenant governor continued:
The Democrats have no one to blame but themselves for creating suspicion of final vote totals. Not allowing Republican poll watchers to observe the vote count in multiple states, in some cases blocking their view with poster board, last minute changes in election laws in battleground states, ignoring the deadline to vote and accepting ballots for days after the election, ignoring postmarks and signature checks, not verifying that mail-in ballots were being sent to people who were alive or living in the state and voting machines that have been a concern for over a decade all raise serious questions.
This lack of transparency has led many to believe that the final count is not accurate in states where the winner was determined to be a very small percentage of the vote.
Patrick went on to note that arrests for voter fraud were made in Texas in the 2020 cycle:
In Texas we know voter fraud is real. In just the last 60 days, we have had three major arrests on voter fraud including a social worker who was arrested last week for allegedly registering almost 70 developmentally disabled adults to vote without their signature or consent.
In Texas, we also know that it is possible to provide the results of mail-in ballots on Election Day. We counted 970,000 mail-in ballots last Tuesday – a 55% increase over 2018 – and added those results to the in-person voting total before midnight on Election Day. The delays in counting mail-in ballots in other states raises more questions about voter fraud and potential mistakes.
When all legal votes are tallied and all illegal votes are discarded, then America can have a greater level of confidence in the election process.
Jim Clancy, former chairman of the Texas Ethics Commission, challenged the ethics of Patrick’s cash reward offer, arguing it would be improper if it’s being used to help prove the president’s claims of voter fraud.
“You could argue that this is an in-kind contribution to the Donald Trump campaign. That’s his problem,” Clancy said.
But Patrick spokeswoman Sherry Sylvester hit back at Clancy’s charges, asserting that the offer was about voter fraud “regardless of the outcome of the election.”
The mainstream media continues to parrot the talking point that there is no evidence of “widespread voter fraud.” It used to be that there is no evidence of “voter fraud,” but now they are hedging their bets by throwing the word “widespread” because it is now undeniable that it does occur and did in this election.
Furthermore, the media’s insistence on using the phrase “widespread voter fraud” is ridiculous because the fraud does not have to be “widespread” for it to have changed the election. On the contrary, the real issue is targeted voter fraud — getting just the right amount of fraudulent votes in key Democratic precincts in crucial swing states to deny President Trump sufficient electoral votes to make it across the finish line.
Democrats have signaled that they will continue to investigate President Trump even if he loses the election. Such an investigation could be much more consequential to him than the empty impeachment, since a President Biden could throw the full weight of the DOJ and FBI behind it, and President Trump, out of office, would no longer have the protections and powers the presidency currently affords him.
While such a prospect should certainly be cause for worry for the president, his allies, and his supporters, it should also serve as motivation for all to not bow before the media’s constant propaganda when the fraud was so apparent. Not fighting is the surest way to defeat.
