Senator Rand Paul Sounds Alarm: WEF Is Building “Everybody’s Worst Nightmare”
Rand Paul

With the World Economic Forum 2022 underway this week, its leaders and participants are unabashed about their plans for a “Great Reset” (their words) toward the goal of global government. And even at that, merely mentioning the idea of a “Great Reset” to criticize it is enough to get one labeled a “conspiracy theorist.” But that did not stop Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) from calling out the WEF as a one-world government conspiracy.

During an appearance on Fox News’ Jesse Waters Prime Time Wednesday night, Paul addressed the hypocrisy of elitists who fly private jets around the world to attend a meeting where they pretend to care about carbon footprints. Then Paul said, “The real danger is this — look how bad your government is in a country where you get to vote for these people. This would be a government — a world government — where you don’t get to vote on anybody.” He added, “This is everybody’s worst nightmare.”

Laying out the breadth and depth of the problem in his clear Kentucky drawl, Paul said:

The bureaucracy that we have trouble [with] in our United States — because we don’t get to vote on them, we vote indirectly — can you imagine the one-world bureaucracy of all these elitists in their private jets that would rule our country and we wouldn’t get to vote?

So I’m dead-set against this, and they used to call people who talked about one-world government — they used to say, “Oh, it’s a conspiracy.” And we would say, “No, it’s in their mission statement. They say it at every meeting. That’s what they’re for.”

Paul went on to say, “Lack of sovereignty means lack of freedom and it means lack of responsiveness and it’s completely antithetical to everything our country stands for.”

And while there will still be some — particularly elitists and their quisling comrades — who would beat Paul about the head and shoulders with the “conspiracy” stick, it is as Paul said: “It’s in their mission statement. They say it at every meeting.”

A quick glance at WEF’s website reveals the following interesting little tidbit: On a page aptly titled, “The Great Reset,” WEF boldly — proudly — states:

There is an urgent need for global stakeholders to cooperate in simultaneously managing the direct consequences of the COVID-19 crisis. To improve the state of the world, the World Economic Forum is starting The Great Reset initiative.

If that isn’t plain enough, the page goes on to list “The Context” and “The Opportunity.”

THE CONTEXT

The Covid-19 crisis, and the political, economic and social disruptions it has caused, is fundamentally changing the traditional context for decision-making. The inconsistencies, inadequacies and contradictions of multiple systems — from health and financial to energy and education — are more exposed than ever amidst a global context of concern for lives, livelihoods and the planet. Leaders find themselves at a historic crossroads, managing short-term pressures against medium- and long-term uncertainties.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As we enter a unique window of opportunity to shape the recovery, this initiative will offer insights to help inform all those determining the future state of global relations, the direction of national economies, the priorities of societies, the nature of business models and the management of a global commons. Drawing from the vision and vast expertise of the leaders engaged across the Forum’s communities, the Great Reset initiative has a set of dimensions to build a new social contract that honours the dignity of every human being.

That is pretty plain — dishonest, disingenuous even, but plain. Just to put in the for-what-it’s-worth column, Covid-19 did not cause “political, economic and social disruptions.” Leaders and attendees of the World Economic Forum did. They did so by pumping the world full of fear of a virus that has an amazingly low mortality rate. They did so by shutting down businesses, banning travel, outlawing social gatherings, and forbidding church services. Because they know to be true what their defenders deny: The globalist elites who make up the WEF pushed all of those regulations and funded the people who forced them on an unsuspecting world.

They crushed the economy and then used that crushed economy as a pretext for their Great Reset. As French economist Frédéric Bastiat famously wrote of the socialists of his day, these people are guilty of “concocting the antidote and the poison in the same laboratory.” They create a problem so that they can offer the “solution.” And their “solution” is a perfect execution of the liberal adage, “Never let a crisis go to waste.” Because after creating the crisis (“The Context”), the globalists of the WEF smoothly transition into the solution (“The Opportunity”) that they wanted all along: “The Great Reset” complete with “a new social contract” issued by “global stakeholders.”

A look at the WEF’s “Our Mission” page will shed further light on its globalist agenda:

The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation.

The Forum engages the foremost political, business, cultural and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

It was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It is independent, impartial and not tied to any special interests. The Forum strives in all its efforts to demonstrate entrepreneurship in the global public interest while upholding the highest standards of governance. Moral and intellectual integrity is at the heart of everything it does.

Our activities are shaped by a unique institutional culture founded on the stakeholder theory, which asserts that an organization is accountable to all parts of society. The institution carefully blends and balances the best of many kinds of organizations, from both the public and private sectors, international organizations and academic institutions.

We believe that progress happens by bringing together people from all walks of life who have the drive and the influence to make positive change.

As The New American’s Charles Scaliger wrote Wednesday of WEF’s current shindig, “Klaus Schwab, the founder and longtime leader of the WEF, set the tone early, with a speech that left no doubt of the organization’s sense of privilege and purpose.” Scaliger quoted from that speech:

Let’s also be clear: The future is not just happening. The future is built by us. By a powerful community as [sic] you here in this room. We have the means to improve the state of the world. But two conditions are necessary. The first one is that we act all as stakeholders of larger communities, that we serve not only our self-interest, but we serve the community. That’s what we call stakeholder responsibility. And second, that we collaborate. This is the reason that you find many opportunities here during the meeting to engage into [sic] very action- and impact-oriented initiatives, to make progress related to specific issues on the global agenda.

Paul’s assertion that WEF is the beginning of “a government — a world government — where you don’t get to vote on anybody,” that such a government (which is “completely antithetical to everything our country stands for”) would be “everybody’s worst nightmare” — is spot on. His warning cry is an alarm every American should heed. Because America ignores that alarm at its own peril.
