Leftist Pro-abortion Groups Dox and Target Conservative SCOTUS Justices in Wake of Roe v. Wade Leak

Following the SCOTUS leak showing that the high court is prepared to overturn Roe v. Wade, pro-abortion groups are directing their foot soldiers to the homes of the “six extremist” justices who have signaled their intentions to decide against Roe or (in one case) whose position is unknown. As a consequence, tall fencing is being erected around the Supreme Court building and law enforcement is bracing for trouble.

Tensions continue to rise in the wake of protests in major cities. After large protests in New york City and Los Angeles — with the latter leading to protesters violently clashing with police — it now appears that Supreme Court justices in Maryland and Virginia are being targeted by pro-abortion activists. Addresses assumed to be the homes of Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett, and Chief Justice John Roberts, have been listed as the locations of planned protests by pro-abortion activist groups. As Daily Wire reports:

The progressive activist group Ruth Sent Us announced “walk-by Wednesday,” urging protestors to come to “the homes of the six extremist justices, three in Virginia and three in Maryland.”

“The radical Left and their dark money funders have one goal, which is to intimidate the Court,” Judicial Crisis Network President Carrie Severino told The Daily Wire on Wednesday evening. “Showing up at the justices’ homes to harass them is absolutely beyond the pale and shows the lengths to which they are willing to go in order to undermine the Court’s independence.”

Ruth Sent Us is an extreme-Left pro-abortion, pro-LGBTQ (etc), pro-BLM, anti-America group that claims to carry on in the place and spirit of deceased Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The group’s website states:

Ruth Bader Ginsburg spent her entire life moving the needle towards justice for all. She believed, and we believe that:

• Women Deserve Trust

• Black Lives Matter

• Love Is Love

• No Human Is Illegal

Calling for “a diversity of tactics,” the group obviously considers intimidating Supreme Court justices and their families to be within bounds. The site lists as an item for activists:

ANNOUNCING: Walk-by Wednesday, May 11, 2022!

At the homes of the six extremist justices, three in Virginia and three in Maryland. If you’d like to join or lead a peaceful protest, let us know.

That listing includes a map showing the locations of addresses for those “six extremist justices” and states, “Commit to rise up with us!”

And while the listing calls for “peaceful protest,” who can forget the many “peaceful” protests in the Summer of 2020 that caused billions of dollars in damage, left buildings and police cars in ashes, caused dozens of deaths, and left communities terrorized? It is no stretch to imagine that “peaceful” protests planned by Ruth Sent Us and other leftist groups could spin out of control into the type of violence seen in the wake of previous “peaceful” protests.

“Peaceful” does not always mean “peaceful.” When the Left uses that word, it often enough means trouble of the violent kind.

As Daily Wire reports:

On its website, the group listed the street names where each justice supposedly lives with their families: Amy Coney Barrett, John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, and Neil Gorsuch.

Joining Ruth Sent Us in intimidation is ShutDownDC, which is advertising a Saturday evening “Candlelight Vigil for Roe v. Wade,” calling for pro-abortion foot soldiers to “join us in a march to Justices Kavanaugh and Roberts’ homes to protest for reproductive freedom!!”

With these calls for “peaceful” protests listing the locations where justices live with their families, pro-life, pro-family organization, CatholicVote drew attention while asking for prayers for the safety of the justices and their families.

This is not the first rodeo for ShutDownDC. The group has pulled similar stunts in the recent past. In September, the group led a pro-abortion protest at Justice Kavanaugh’s home, though no one appeared to be home at the time. And in January, the group staged an intimidating and potentially violent protest at the Washington, D.C. home of Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.). Hawley was not in D.C. at the time, but his “wife and newborn daughter, who can’t travel” were subject to the intimidation tactics of these “peaceful” leftists who “screamed threats, vandalized, and tried to pound open [the] door.” At the time, Hawley tweeted:

With leftist groups doxxing conservative justices by publishing the locations of their residences, there is the very real threat of violence to the justices and their families by pro-abortion activists who would want to sway one or more of those justices by intimidation and fear.

In response to these credible threats, justices have canceled public appearances, tall fencing is being erected around the perimeter of the Supreme Court’s marble building, and police are bracing themselves amidst warnings protests could turn violent. Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) introduced a bill Thursday to provide additional protections for Supreme Court justice, including around-the-clock security details.

In introducing the bill, Cornyn said the actions of pro-abortion groups — publishing the addresses of justices and calling for activists to descend on their homes in protest — is “not just an attack against the independence of the judiciary,” but also “risks violence against members of the Supreme Court and their families.”

The actions of these groups is a clear and obvious attempt to influence the court’s decision by fear and intimidation. As Cornyn said, “Because we deal in these matters on a daily basis, to make that kind of threat to the Supreme Court is an attempt to intimidate the Justices and a threat to judicial independence.”

Another very real consequence of the action of these leftist activist groups is that the function of government is hindered. Associate Justice Alito was tasked with reviewing emergency appeals from the 5th Circuit, but had to scrap those plans due to the threatening actions of these pro-abortion activists.

As dog-eared as the question is, it has to be asked: Can anyone imagine the reaction if liberal Supreme Court justices had to rearrange their schedules and sidestep normal responsibilities incumbent upon their positions as justices because they were being targeted by conservative groups?

Such a scenario would be considered tantamount to a coup or an act of terrorism. The mainstream media would be working themselves into a frothing frenzy decrying the actions of “MAGA Republicans.” Moderate Republicans would be running the circuit of media appearances, distancing themselves from the controversy by denouncing the groups involved as “domestic terrorists.” And Biden’s DOJ would already be launching investigations to answer this “threat to democracy.”
