Eric Adams is all for fighting the “man.”
That is, except when he’s the man.
Many may draw this conclusion now that the New York City mayor has fired a mother for speaking out against his irrational mask mandate for kids under five — a measure some critics have called child abuse.
In fact, one unnamed NYC parent accused Adams of “hypocrisy” precisely because the mayor was more than willing to speak truth (or untruth) to power when he was a city cop and didn’t have the power. The Daily Mail summarizes the story:
- Adams was blasted after Law Department attorney Daniela Japmel [sic] was fired 30 minutes after confronting him about why under-5s must still wear masks
- Mayor regularly railed against his own bosses while at NYPD, but was allowed to retire on his own terms in 2006 after a 22 year career
- Jampel, a mom-of-three, confronted Adams at a press conference about LGBT rights, but a source close to her insists she didn’t sneak in
- She’s currently on maternity leave, says her dismissal was not performance related, and is now set to sue the Law Department
What’s more, the Mail describes Adams’ history as a police officer as one of “insubordination.” For example, he was found guilty in 2005 “of speaking without authorization at a disciplinary hearing, and docked 15 days of vacation pay.”
The aforementioned unnamed parent, whose family is affected by the mayor’s mask mandate, noted this history. “Eric Adams is demanding that no one disagrees with him,” the Big Apple resident told the Mail, “but has conveniently forgotten the very many times he publicly humiliated the NYPD when he was a cop.”
“Hypocrisy is not a strong enough word to describe the way this playboy mayor is dealing with her [Jampel],” the parent concluded.
Worse still, Adams regularly played the race card as a cop, pushing diversity and essentially claiming the NYPD was racist. He would make this case by seizing upon incidents such as the 1984 shooting of Eleanor Bumpurs, a psychotic 300-pound woman who tried slashing an officer with a knife. Adams claimed the woman wouldn’t have been shot had she been white.
Power Over Principle?
Adams’ agitation was continual, yet it was clear to many that much of his “behavior was linked to his desire to launch a political career, rather than borne of a hunger to reform the department,” the Mail also informs. Note that he joined the NYPD in 1984, when melanin-machination Machiavellians Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were highly visible — and Adams perhaps observed that a race card play can pay.
Not much may have changed, either. Adams has conspicuously opposed Florida’s parental rights law, promoting on Monday an effort to erect digital billboards that throw shade on the Sunshine State child-protection measure. He claims he’s trying to reverse New York-to-Florida population transfer and lure Floridians to the Big Apple. But since this is like aiming to lure a flamingo from the Everglades to Fresh Kills Landfill, a question arises:
Is this just another Adams power play — in this case, an effort to increase his national visibility so he can one day seek higher office?
It would be hard for many to believe, after all, that the mayor actually cares about the sexual devolutionary agenda. Note that he was raised in the ’60s in a black Brooklyn community, a time and place in which homosexuality and cross-dressing were anything but accepted. In fact, that his effort is a cynical power play is a more charitable explanation than that he actually supports what the Florida bill prohibits: the sexualization of very young children.
The Mask Mandate That Time Forgot
Whatever the case, however, Adams certainly appears willing to commit child abuse for political gain. In fact, it was during his Sexual Devolution-champion masquerade that Jampel addressed his mask-erade. As the Mail further relates:
During Monday’s press conference about LGBT rights, she said to Adams: ‘Three weeks ago, you told parents to trust you that you would unmask our toddlers,’ she said.
‘You stood right here, and you said that the masks would come off April 4. That has not happened.
‘Not only did you renege on your promise, you had your lawyers race to court on Friday night arguing that there would be irreparable harm if children under 5 are allowed to take off their masks today along with their older siblings in school.
‘So my questions are, what is the irreparable harm to children aged 2 to 4 take off their masks, just as they do in Long Island, just as they do in Westchester? When will you and will you unmask our toddlers?’
The answer, perhaps, is that sanity will return if and when NYC residents see through Adams’ mask — and those of his ilk. Much had been made over the mayor’s appointing of his brother to a $240,000-a-year position (after pushback, little bro’ was demoted). But far more indicative of corruption are his positions, including racial politics, sexual devolutionary agenda embrace, and support for abortion. And what enables this?
Well, another Adams — John, our second president — explained it succinctly. “Public virtue cannot exist in a nation without private [virtue],” he noted, “and public virtue is the only foundation of republics.”
As long as Gothamites aren’t bothered by rotten-Big Apple policy, nothing will change. For whether their overlords will be the Adams Family or others of like character, what’s for sure is that they’ll get the government they deserve.
