Lists can go both ways.
The media establishment and the political Left have taken it upon themselves to compile lists of lawmakers and regular Americans who rightly refuse to call Joe Biden the president-elect when the result of the 2020 election is far from conclusive. Naturally, they do this with the aim of shaming and intimidating the named individuals into submission.
The Left’s tactic of coercing is despicable; it is, nevertheless, useful to look at their “hit lists” and extrapolate the data to glean information about the stances of national figures and thus see which ones are interested in pursuing the truth and an honest election, and which are obediently heeding the call of the establishment’s propaganda mill.
When the next election season comes around, it will be useful to know who stood for integrity in America’s crucial moment and who didn’t.
As noted by NBC News, the Republican members of Congress who have thus far broken with President Trump to definitively congratulate Joe Biden on his “victory” are:
Senator Lisa Murkowski (Alaska)
Senator Mitt Romney (Utah)
Senator Susan Collins (Maine)
Senator Ben Sasse (Neb.)
Representative Fred Upton (Mich.)
Representative Francis Rooney (Fla.)
Representative Will Hurd (Texas)
Representative Paul Mitchell (Mich.)
Representative Adam Kinzinger (Ill.)
“While we may not always agree, I will work with them to do what is right for Alaska — just as I will continue to emphasize collaboration and bipartisanship with my colleagues in a narrowly divided Senate,” Collins wrote in a congratulatory statement to Biden.
Rooney, meanwhile, called for all Americans “to come together to support” and said “our nation will only be successful if the new admin is.”
Several Republicans on Capitol Hill have worded their kowtowing to the media a bit more cautiously, but nonetheless have urged the Trump administration to begin cooperating with the Biden transition team. These are:
Senator Marco Rubio (Fla.)
Senator Pat Toomey (Pa.)
Senator Mike Rounds (S.D.)
Representative Tom Reed (N.Y.)
“I don’t think allowing the GSA [the General Services Administration, which grants certification that would allow the Biden team power to make decisions about the future of the federal government] to move forward on some of the transition work prejudices in any way any of the legal claims the president intends to make,” said Rubio.
“We’re on a path it looks likely Joe Biden is going to be the next president of the United States,” said Toomey. “It’s not 100% certain but it is quite likely, so I think a transition process ought to begin.”
A handful of Republican governors have also called it a day and openly accepted Joe Biden as the next president. These are:
Larry Hogan (Md.)
Charlie Baker (Mass.)
Phil Scott (Vt.)
Governor-elect Spencer Cox (Utah)
“Thank you for your commitment to unite us all,” Cox said. “We pray for you and promise to work with you to benefit the people of Utah.”
“I think most people realize that this election is over,” Hogan said during a news conference. “It’s really dangerous, I think, in the middle of this pandemic, this economic collapse, people dying across the country, to not have a transition. Is the old coronavirus task force gonna be making decisions, is the new one?
Hogan’s question about coronavirus policy is absurd, of course. Why should there be any confusion about who is making policy decisions for the United States? The inauguration is on January 20. If Biden does indeed ultimately prevail after recounts, investigations, lawsuits, and other constitutional measures taken by the Trump team, then he can begin making policy on that day.
Until then, there is only one president who is constitutionally authorized to make decisions for the country, and that president is Donald J. Trump.
Other notable Republicans who have sided with Biden are Cindy McCain, the widow of Senator John McCain; former Florida Governor Jeb Bush; former President George W. Bush; former Ohio Governor John Kasich; and former House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Rogers.
All of them have made themselves pawns of the Deep State’s coup strategy. The saying goes that if you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes true. That’s what the media is banking on with its 24-hour “Biden is the new president” campaign. America is currently witnessing a powerful psy-op. Will it be successful?
