Biden Administration Poised to Ignore Expected SCOTUS Abortion Ruling
Rachel Levine

As the nation prepares for the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization in June, both the Right and the Left fully expect that the decision will mark the end of Roe v. Wade. In preparation, the Biden administration has announced a “Task Force on Reproductive Healthcare Access” to “eliminate barriers” to abortion.

The task force was announced by Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra on the 49th anniversary of Roe (January 21). Also announced was a “$6.6 million [grant] through the Title X family planning program to address increased need for family planning services where restrictive laws and policies have impacted reproductive health access.”

Becerra named HHS Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Rachel Levine and HHS Assistant Secretary for Global Affairs Loyce Pace as heads of the task force. Levine is famous for being the first transgender “woman” (read: man who is fundamentally confused about his external plumbing) to hold an office that requires Senate confirmation.

So, as the nation prepares for the 50th anniversary of Roe to be the first such anniversary in the post-Roe world, the Biden administration is pressing forward with what Biden himself called a “whole-of-government response” to “protect” a woman’s right to kill her unborn child. And just to put in the for-what-it’s-worth column, one of the heads of the task force created to carry out that agenda is a “woman” who can never get pregnant and want an abortion. In fact Rachel Levine impregnated his wife at least twice while he was still Richard Levine and married to a real woman who could get pregnant.

This is what it looks like when the lunatics run the asylum. It reminds this writer more than a little of the retort-in-the-form-of-a-question that Pontius Pilate hurled at Our Lord during his mock trial: Quid est Veritas? (What is truth?) There, standing before him, was Truth himself, and Pilate asked, dismissively, “What is truth?” — implying that truth cannot be known. The Biden administration appoints a “woman” who has sired children as one of the heads of a task force to guarantee women the “right” to kill their unborn children — as if truth cannot be known (or at least they don’t care to know it).

In the announcement, Becerra is quoted as saying:

As we commemorate the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we recommit to protecting and strengthening access to reproductive health care, including the right to safe and legal abortion care that the Supreme Court has recognized for decades.

He added:

Patients have the right to make decisions about their own bodies. In light of restrictive laws across the nation, HHS will evaluate the impact on patients and our communities. That’s why today, I have launched the first Intra-agency Task Force on Reproductive Healthcare Access. Once again, we are telling health care providers and patients, we have your back.

This is another example of the insanity of the Biden administration. For Becerra to cite Roe as an example of “the right to safe and legal abortion care that the Supreme Court has recognized for decades” is an appeal to authority. Since the Supreme Court recognized abortion as a right in Roe, he is saying, this administration will continue to fight for that right. But he deliberately ignores the salient fact that the very authority he cites is preparing to correct its error in Roe by overturning the decision.

But when the mocking question of “What is truth?” guides one’s philosophy, one can be expected to refuse to connect the dots and follow the logical conclusion of the Supreme Court reconsidering the validity and veracity (root word: veritas) of its former decision in Roe.

The very people who have spent the past 49 years pointing to the Supreme Court as the High Priests of What-Is-True are now pointing to that Exalted Institution as the agent of “unconstitutional chaos.” Biden and his administration appear to be so disconnected from truth that they think something can be true and untrue — and constitutional and unconstitutional — at the same time, and the Supreme Court can be both the sole arbiter of what is constitutional and the fount of “unconstitutional chaos” at the same time.

And the shift away from looking to the Supreme Court as the sole arbiter of What-Is-True is not a subtle shift. Levine said the task force he co-heads will “advance policies that improve reproductive health care access within federal programs and services.” Pace, who serves as the other head of the two-headed monster that is this task force, said that “advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights is central to our core global health goals.”

So, the “core” “health goals” of the Biden administration are “global” instead of merely national. With that being the case, it makes sense to shun the Supreme Court as it prepares to decide against their “core global health goals.”

Not only will the Biden administration push for abortion rights as a federal issue after the Supreme Court hands down a decision that sends the issue back to the states to decide (officially ending the error that it is a federal issue), but the administration will also do two other things: (1) treat it as a “global” issue, taking as binding authority the principles of Global Internationalism, and (2) decorate the whole thing with a coat of rainbow paint, making it an issue of “gender equity and equality” with a task force headed in part by a man who pretends to be a woman.

As National Catholic Register reports:

One area that the task force will work on is “implementation of activities identified in the ‘White House National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality — PDF.’” Those activities include using “all available levers to protect these rights” and working “to codify the constitutional rights recognized under Roe v. Wade for nearly half a century.” The “gender” document also states that the administration will “seek to break down discriminatory barriers that inhibit reproductive freedom,” including supporting “the repeal of the Hyde Amendment, because health care should not depend on a person’s income or zip code.”

The Hyde Amendment is a bipartisan ban on taxpayer-funded abortion that has been in place for decades, but has had on-again, off-again enforcement depending on which party is in power. Biden had at least given lip service to the Hyde Amendment until his 2020 presidential campaign, when he reversed his public position. Under the Trump administration, the Hyde Amendment was enforced and taxpayer funds were not used to pay for abortions. As National Catholic Register reports:

Valerie Huber, the former U.S. special representative for global women’s health at HHS during the Trump administration, now heads the Institute for Women’s Health. She told the Register that, with its new task force, HHS is “looking for every administrative lever they can to promote abortion through programs through policies, regulations, and any other kind of creative, and I would say harmful, interpretations of longstanding federal law and definitions for health and primary care that they are reinterpreting for the purpose of derailing real women’s health gains for abortion.”

In light of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health case, where the Supreme Court could overturn Roe, she said the Biden administration is likely viewing this task force “as a way to further this agenda despite a Supreme Court ruling.”

So, after using the Supreme Court’s erroneous decision in Roe as the justification for ever-expanding abortion “rights” for the past 49 years, the merchants of death are now prepared to continue that policy in obstinate disobedience to the court they have claimed to so revere.

Huber also said that the Biden administration has been “very intent on women’s health issues to link domestic and global policies.” By making abortion an “essential service” and “putting it in a health category,” the administration “is elevating this to more than just a policy disagreement,” and “these are things that are being brought in now to domestic policy as they’ve never been brought before.”

Huber is correct that the Biden administration is using abortion as a catch-all to implement a policy of death not only as domestic policy, but as global policy, as Pace clearly said in her statement about the task force.

The National Catholic Register points out that this is not the first time the Biden administration has pushed this course. Last year — at the very beginning of the administration — Dr. Anthony Fauci told the World Health Organization that it is “official policy to support women’s and girls’ sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights in the United States, as well as globally.” Huber points out that the terms “sexual and reproductive health and rights” are interpreted to mean that “abortion is a human right, and it supposes that any kind of sexual expression is also a human right.”

And with the ever-changing meaning of words in the hands of the Left, those “rights” will also mean that “sexual health” applies to transgender boys and men who believe they are girls and women, and girls and women who think they are boys and men.

Thus, Levine is the poster boy for this evil policy. Who better to serve as the face of a policy to push for the continued federalization of abortion “rights” (even after the court likely decides that it is a state issue) and the federalization of transgender “rights” than a man who pretends he is a woman?
