Illegal aliens continued their mad rush to the border through October in the hope of a Biden presidency.
Though border agents apprehended almost 70,000 illegals last month, a 20-percent jump from September, monthly apprehensions have been accelerating since May.
The increasing totals suggest not just that illegal aliens expect Democrat “President-elect” Joe Biden to take office in January, but that even more will begin the march north to the border when and if he does.
Biden, after all, has promised an amnesty for the 11 million illegals already here, will stop deportations, and invite every “migrant” on the planet to enter the country and plead for asylum.
The Numbers
The latest numbers from U.S. Customs and Border Protection are alarming. Illegals are surging across the border at a pace not seen since the illegal-alien tsunami of 2019.
In October, the first month of fiscal 2021, border agents apprehended 69,237 illegals who either jumped the border or showed up at ports of entry as inadmissibles.
Illegals caught jumping the border accounted for the entirety of the massive increase over September’s 57,674.
All three subcategories of those illegals increased. The largest category was single adults, which jumped 21.2 percent.
Agents collared 66,337 illegals sneaking across the border.
Border Apprehensions — September / October
• Unaccompanied Children — 3,756 / 4,630
• Family Units — 3,808 / 4,501
• Single Adults — 47,207 / 57,206
• Totals — 54,771 / 66,337
The number of inadmissibles, 2,900, stayed about the same. Agents stopped 2,903 last month.
Unaccompanied Alien Children — 127 / 134
• Family Units — 86 / 113
• Single Adults —2,603 / 2,547
• Accompanied Minor Child — 87 / 106
Totals — 2,903 / 2,900
Totals for Both Categories — 57,674 / 69,237
Numbers Up Since May
Bad as the increase from September is, it is hardly a surprise.
Apprehensions tanked to 17,106 in April after China unleashed upon the world what might well have been a bioweapon — created in a lab subsidized by U.S. taxpayers — but then began increasing again in May, when they jumped 36 percent to more 23,000.
Apprehensions jumped another 42.2 percent in June, 24 percent in July, 22 percent in August and 15 percent in September.
The monthly flow has increased more than 300 percent since April.
If October’s figure of almost 70,000 holds for the rest of the year, which it could well do given Biden’s proposed immigration policies, apprehensions will reach about 815,000 by the fiscal year’s end in September 2021.
That would be a significant increase over fiscal 2020’s 458,088.
More than 2,000 illegals are pouring across the border every day.
What Biden Plans
The would-be “migrants” have good reason to be encouraged, given what Biden promised in his second debate with Trump and at his website: Open borders.
“Within a 100 days, I’m going to send to the United States Congress a pathway to citizenship for over 11 million undocumented people,” Biden vowed:
And all of those so-called dreamers, those DACA kids, they’re going to be immediately certified again to be able to stay in this country and put on a path to citizenship…. You’re five years old. Your parents are taking across the Rio Grande River and it’s illegal. And you say, “Oh, no, Mom. Leave me here. I’m not going to go with you.” They been here. Many of them are model citizens. Over 20,000 of them are first responders out there taking care of people during this crisis. We owe them. We owe them.
At his website, Biden promises to invite more “refugees” from the Third World and to approve their fake asylum claims. Most illegals, as The New American has reported, are not refugees fleeing persecution but instead are simply looking for jobs, money, and welfare.
That won’t matter to Biden.
He will “reassert America’s commitment to asylum-seekers and refugees,” he says, which means importing as many as he can to make new Democrat voters and cement his party’s political power.
