Wisconsin Democrat Legislator Beaten by BLM Mob

Mob violence made its presence known in the Badger State on Tuesday as violent thugs yanked down statues outside the capitol building and beat up a Democrat ally in yet another Marxist temper tantrum associated with the group Black Lives Matter (BLM).

State Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) was reportedly recording the toppling of a statue near the capitol building when he was accosted by rioters and beaten. Carpenter, one of four openly gay members of the Wisconsin legislature, posted a brief video showing rioters pointing him out and then coming forward to attack him.

“I took this pic — it got me assaulted and beat up. Punched/kicked in the head, neck, ribs. Maybe concussion, socked in the left eye is a little blurry, sore neck and ribs. 8-10 people attacked me. Innocent people are going to get killed. Capitol locked — stuck in office. Stop violence now, please!”

The riot apparently started because of the arrest of a Black Lives Matter activist who entered a Madison restaurant armed with a baseball bat shouting BLM propaganda and causing a disturbance. Devonere Johnson, 28, who referred to himself during the incident as Yeshua Musa, was arrested by Madison police for the incident.

Johnson had been a frequent protester on the streets of Madison in the weeks since Minneapolis criminal George Floyd died in police custody, causing a nationwide uproar over alleged systemic racism and police brutality.

Johnson’s arrest prompted a crowd of about 300 to gather outside the Dane County Jail and begin chanting for his release. When that release didn’t happen, the rioters took to the city to wreak havoc.

“This is not a peaceful protest, so if you came out here for a peaceful protest, you missed it,” one of the riot organizers told reporters. “We’re done being peaceful. Now we demanding justice.”

Besides Carpenter, the two other main victims were iconic Madison statues.

One of the statues was called Forward, a call to Wisconsin’s state motto. The statue was created by Wisconsin woman Jean Pond Miner in 1893, and was meant to depict the progressive, look-forward attitude of the state. The statue that rioters destroyed was a replica — the original still stands inside the headquarters of the Wisconsin Historical Society.

The other statue was of Civil War colonel and ardent abolitionist Hans Christian Heg, who lost his life battling the Confederacy at the Battle of Chickamauga on September 19, 1863. Heg was the highest-ranking Wisconsin officer to die during the Civil War.

Neither statue had anything to do with slavery or the oppression of the black race in any way. In fact, they both represented the opposite. Just because they were there, apparently, historically ignorant rioters pulled them down because a criminal ally of theirs had been arrested.

In addition to the mob violence and the toppled statues, the rioters threw a Molotov cocktail into the city’s engineering office and attempted to break into the capitol, where many legislators were trapped in their offices. Several state buildings had windows broken and were defaced with graffiti.

Violence spilled into Milwaukee as another mob burned a home in the city that they claimed housed a sex-trafficker. When police intervened they were pelted by bricks. Seven cops were injured in the incident and three people were shot — none by police.

On Wednesday, Wisconsin’s milquetoast-in-chief, Democrat Governor Tony Evers, activated the state’s National Guard to patrol the city and react to any additional riots.

“The protests in Madison last night resulted in serious injury to bystanders as well as significant damage to state property,” Evers declared in a statement. “The Wisconsin National Guard will serve in a limited authorization meant to make sure people can exercise their First Amendment rights while ensuring the safety of members of the public and state buildings and infrastructure.”

The fact that Evers still refers to these incidents as “protests” shows that he still doesn’t get it. This is no longer — if it ever was — about protesting “injustice” and “systemic racism.” It’s about terrorism. On Tuesday and Wednesday it was Wisconsin. Tomorrow, it will be somewhere else where they can get away with it for a day or two. These aren’t protests; they’re guerrilla tactics being used by revolutionaries who are trying to create a mass insurrection.
