Billionaire rapper Jay-Z and Team ROC, the social-justice wing of his ROC Nation company, are collaborating with other social-justice groups to bail out protesters and agitators arrested on the streets of Wisconsin following Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm’s announcement on Wednesday police officer Joseph Mensah will not face criminal charges in the fatal February shooting of Alvin Cole.

“In today’s disappointing ruling, DA Chisolm found Officer Mensah not guilty,” a recent Team ROC Instagram post read. “Contrary to the decision, Officer Mensah was not justified in killing Alvin Cole.” Team ROC then called on followers to call Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers to demand a special prosecutor be put on the case.

Per a graphic included in that Instagram post, Team ROC is partnering with the groups Until Freedom and Gathering for Justice.

According to Breitbart News, Gathering for Justice, which was founded by left-wing actor and singer Harry Belafonte, has received significant donations from George Soros’ Open Society Foundations.

In another Instagram post, Team ROC announced the release of a new album “to bring awareness to social injustice happening across our communities.… Please join us as we support and amplify the incredible work of these organizations fighting to end police brutality, hate crimes, and other civil rights violations.”

The company declared that all of the album’s proceeds will go to the social-justice groups Justice League NYC, NACDL Foundation for Criminal Justice, Grassroots Law Project, Gathering for Justice, Until Freedom, and Equal Justice Initiative, which ostensibly is “committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.”

Besides protesters associated with the death of Alvin Cole, Jay-Z and his wife, Beyonce, have donated tens of thousands of dollars to pay bail for protesters arrested in Ferguson, Missouri, and Baltimore.

“When we needed money for bail for Baltimore protesters, I asked hit Jay up, as I had for Ferguson, wired tens of thousands in mins [sic],” wrote self-described social-justice organizer Dream Hampton. “When BLM (#BlackLivesMatter) needed infrastructure money for the many chapters that we’re growing like beautiful dandelions, Carters [Jay-Z’s actual last name] wrote a huge check [sic].”

In addition to direct funding from Soros’ foundation, Bryan Stevenson — the founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative — also serves on the board of the U.S. Programs division of the Open Society Foundations.

They claim that the practice of lynching created a modern-day criminal justice system that is biased against black people.

“Lynching reinforced a narrative of racial difference and a legacy of racial inequality that is readily apparent in our criminal justice system today,” asserts the Equal Justice Initiative. “Mass incarceration, racially biased capital punishment, excessive sentencing, disproportionate sentencing of racial minorities and police abuse of people of color reveal problems in American society that were shaped by the terror era.”

Additionally, Beyonce was named the most charitable celebrity of 2016 for her advocacy of Black Lives Matter, to which she and Jay-Z have contributed monetarily for years.

But the power couple isn’t alone in bailing out left-wing agitators who find themselves on the wrong side of the law.

Following the death of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis Police Department officer and the resultant protests and riots, bail-out charities have been infused with huge amounts of donations with which to post bail for the rioters, looters, and vandals arrested amid the anarchy.

One of the most prominent among these organizations is the Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF), which has taken in millions in the last week alone thanks to patronage and publicity from Hollywood celebrities such as Justin Timberlake and Steve Carell.

MFF’s goal is to raise donations to bail out suspected criminals and those detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). As Breitbart notes, tax records show the organization used to pull in $110,000 a year, but donations have exploded to over $20 million in less than a week’s time.

MFF Executive Director Tonja Honsey is a disciple of Soros. She was named a Soros Justice Fellow by his Open Society Foundations in 2019. Honsey is also a convicted drug offender who was arrested in a 2002 meth-lab bust. In addition, she did time in prison for theft and check forgery.

Getting involved in disruptive left-wing activism is easy when you have “Papa Soros” ready to bail you out of the consequences of your actions.
