Education and Worldviews

I’m enjoying your article “Can You Be Kind, Caring, & Liberal?” (November 6 issue) as it speaks to worldviews, and I teach worldviews. There is one note I’d like to offer for your consideration. You stated: “And by the way, it’s likely all schools teach some form of religion, usually secular humanism or atheism.”

My note is that every single school teaches one religion or another, as every school curriculum is based on a philosophy that comes from one worldview or another. In this day and age, with Common Core riding in on No Child Left Behind, and Goals 2000 with its school-to-work agenda, the predominant religion is cultural Marxism. The Democrat Platform of 2016 spews out cultural Marxism on every issue.
