Reports of a “mysterious” pneumonia outbreak in children in China have ignited concerns about a new pandemic. Dr. Michael Schwartz advises parents to defy fear and remain calm, asserting that mycoplasma pneumoniae, the identified bacteria behind the surge, is well-known and treatable.
